Hi, I’m Georgia
I started Solstice Building Performance as a way of meaningfully contributing to the liveability and sustainability of homes.
While building my own home in an ecovillage, I became inspired by the principles of passive design, thoughtful material selection, and creating a home with the highest level of thermal performance possible, without compromising on aesthetics, budget or practicality.
Through clear communication and a collaborative approach, I work with architects, designers, builders and homeowners to balance compliance with thoughtful, high-performing design. I'm passionate about creating homes that are comfortable year-round, energy efficient, and healthier to live in.
As well as being an accredited NatHERS Assessor, I bring first-hand experience navigating the building approval process within an ecovillage, where sustainability and design are held to a high standard. I'm also currently completing a Bachelor of Interior Architecture, which continues to deepen my understanding of how good design, building science and liveability come together.
Whether you're designing a new home or refining an existing project, my goal is to make the building performance process clear, collaborative and practical—helping you create a home that's not only compliant, but comfortable, efficient and built to perform for years to come.
Whether you're planning a new home, renovation or extension, I'd love to hear about your project.
About Solstice Building Performance
Why "Solstice"?
The solstices mark the longest and shortest days of the year—moments that reflect the changing relationship between the sun and the built environment.
That connection is at the heart of building performance. Understanding how a home responds to sunlight, climate and the seasons allows us to create buildings that are naturally more comfortable, efficient and resilient.
The name Solstice reflects this philosophy: designing with climate, not against it.
At Solstice Building Performance, I believe high-performing homes should feel effortless to live in.
The best homes are comfortable throughout the year, energy efficient, and thoughtfully designed to suit the people who live in them. Achieving that balance starts early in the design process, where informed decisions can improve performance without compromising the vision for a project.
I founded Solstice Building Performance to help homeowners, designers and builders navigate the technical side of residential energy efficiency with practical, straightforward advice. Whether it's a NatHERS assessment for a new home or thermal performance modelling to refine a design, my goal is always the same: to find solutions that work for both compliance and liveability.
I understand that building can feel overwhelming. My approach is collaborative and transparent, working closely with clients to explain the "why" behind every recommendation and helping them make confident design decisions.
Every project is different, but every client deserves clear communication, attention to detail and advice they can trust.
